Ms. Christy Chatfield is the Senior Vice President of Student Life and has been with EHS since 2004 when she joined to organize the Student Life department. She provides leadership and vision in the design and the administering of a comprehensive range of programs and services related to campus programming and planning. She assists in creating a culture that promotes academic achievement, oversees security and crisis response, advocates on behalf of the students, and fosters collaborative relationships amongst students, staff, and clients. Previously Ms. Chatfield served as the Dean of Students at Marymount Manhattan College, after having served as the Director of Residence Life. Ms. Chatfield is a graduate of New York University with a Master’s degree in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education and Widener University with Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Social Work.

Yolanda Cruz is in charge of all buildings and around 5,000+ residents. Yolanda is a native of Houston Texas, she received a BS in Psychology from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and she has been with Educational Housing Services since May of 2006. Previously, she was the Residence Director at the St. George/Clark residences for two years, and the Residence Director at the 1760 Third Avenue Residence. Yolanda also does a lot of 'behind the scenes' work that is vital to EHS. Before joining EHS Yolanda was a Residence Director at Marymount Manhattan College, as well as a Residence Manager at Boston University.

Fredrick Neglia is EHS' Director of Public Safety with more than thirty years of Life Safety and Law Enforcement experience, which included over twenty years with the New York City Police Department as a Patrol Officer/Homicide Detective Investigator and more than ten years at Nassau Community College. While there, he rose to the rank of Assistant Chief/Director of Public Safety. Fred has been the recipient of numerous accolades, including the Nassau Community College Leadership Award (2011), United States Congressional Award (2001), Nassau County Executive Award (2001), U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency-Excellent Service Award (1996), as well as numerous NYPD awards. Fred holds degrees from SUNY-Empire State College and the New York City Police Academy. His goal is to provide a safe, secure and worry free environment for both the EHS residents and their guests. In his spare time he enjoys volunteering, and is an active supporter of St. Jude Children's Hospital, the Wounded Warrior Project, and Autism Speaks.

Originally from Charleston, Arkansas, Robert joined EHS in the summer of 2012. A graduate from Arkansas Tech University, he earned both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with emphasis in Management and Marketing and a Master of Science in College Student Personnel. Prior to joining EHS, Robert served as a Resident Director at both Union College in Schenectady, NY and William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ. In his spare time, he enjoys reading in Central Park, catching a show on Broadway, or hitting the tennis courts with friends.

Brian graduated from Adelphi University with a Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts in Psychology. He joined EHS at the end of 2009 as an Administrative Assistant for the Student Life department and provided support to the St. George Residence, assisting the residents of the buildings alongside the RAs and ADs with any issues or questions they may have. He also provided administrative/creative support to the corporate, Leasing and Finance offices. Outside of EHS he enjoys playing music in wedding and community orchestras, antigravity yoga, and is recently new into traveling.

Maurice A. Smith has experience with being both Resident Advisor and Residence Director for many years before joining EHS in March of 2015. A native of Philadelphia PA, Maurice holds both a BFA and MBA degrees from Marymount Manhattan College. After spending several years in Las Angeles, CA. Maurice is excited to be back in NYC and is ready to ensure of the residents of the New Yorker Residence are provided a world class experience.

Pace University Alumni Kathleen Hundersmarck was happy to join us in spring 2018. With a background in Higher Education and Hospitality she is very excited to become part of the EHS family. Her passion lies in providing a positive and creative environment for the people around her. She looks forward to this opportunity to empower residents to reach their full potential. During her free time she likes to play soccer, go to sporting events, travel, and try new NYC restaurants.

Taylor graduated from Youngstown State University in Ohio with a degree in Psychology and moved to NYC in Fall 2013. While pursuing her Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Taylor quickly became interested in an EHS Resident Advisor position. After graduating with her Master’s degree, Taylor began as a full-time Resident Director for the St. George Towers and Clark residences. Using her interests in people and communication, Taylor enjoys getting to know residents and referring them to lesser known NYC landmarks and great food. Coming from a small Midwest town, she loves helping students adjust to big city living. “With EHS, you have a second family that is always there for you.”

Brendan is one of the two Residence Directors in Brooklyn Heights. Having joined the EHS team in the summer of 2015, he works to foster a strong community throughout the St. George. Focusing on quality programming and student engagement he aspires to have Brooklyn Heights truly feel like home for all residents. Before EHS Brendan worked at Stony Brook University as a Residence Hall Director. He graduated from the University of Virginia with his B.A. in Economics and M.Ed. in Higher Education, Student Affairs Practice. Originally from the D.C. Metro Area, and living on Long Island before coming to work at EHS, Brendan spent most of his free time commuting to the city to visit friends, go to shows, and explore. He is thrilled to have access to all of the city now just moments from his doorstep!

Margaret graduated from the University at Albany with a Bachelors of Arts in 2004 and a Masters of Arts in Africana Studies in 2012. She joined EHS in the Spring of 2013 as a Resident Director for the Marymount summer Residence. Margaret became an Associate Director of Student Life in 2014 at 1760 Third Avenue residence. She prides herself in great customer service and community development in residence halls. Before joining EHS, Margaret worked as a Graduate Assistant for Residential Life where she supervised 8 paraprofessional staff members. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, reading, and eating out at new restaurants.

Rayshaun earned his BA in Social Entrepreneurship and Business from Rollins College focusing on creating sustainable socially conscious enterprises and is currently working towards earning his Master’s Degree at NYU studying Higher Education and Student Affairs. He joined EHS the summer of 2018 as the Residence Coordinator for Marymount and continued on to become the Residence Director at 1760 Third Avenue in the fall of 2018. Rayshaun aspires to ensure that residents are not only surviving but thriving during their experiences with us. He hopes to achieve this each year by intentionally creating a community focused on safety, fun, and personal, professional, and academic support in their home away from home.
